Brain Pill ‘Your Unfair Advantage’
Brain Pill is a nootropic marketed towards ageing individuals striving to get their brain power back to what it once was.
They remind potential customers that our brain power begins to decline after age 30, whilst ensuring us that they can help us do something about that.
Brain Pill is endorsed by Jeopardy Champion Ken Jennings, who claims to find it useful after reaching 40 and finding himself not as sharp as he used to be.
It’s also endorsed by cosmetic surgeon Dr. Dave David, who says more of the same, talking about how concentration wanes with age.
Don’t be fooled by endorsements though, they mean nothing other than the fact that some money changed hands somewhere.
They’re far from definitive, reliable sources, which is why we’re here to tell you what Brain Pill is really about.
What does Brain Pill do?
According to Brain Pill’s manufacturers, taking this supplement will allow you to:
- Boost working memory
- Perform tasks at a higher rate
- Process information more quickly
- Have fewer distractions
- Cut through brain fog
- Acquire new skills more easily
- Reduce Stress
- Mentally prepare for exams
- Perform better under fatigue
- Make effective decisions
There are a lot of rather bold claims here, and that last one is rather questionable.
How do you measure the effectiveness of your decisions, and how can you possibly ensure that Brain Pill will improve it?
With such a list, we can only hope that Brain Pill aren’t setting us up for disappointment.
Brain Pill Ingredients
With so many claims scattered all over the website, we had to do quite a bit of scrolling before we arrived at the ingredients list.
When we finally did, we were disappointed to find no definitive formula, but just a list of ingredients without amounts given.
Brain Pill states that these ingredients are 100% natural and have been chosen for their ability to complement each other.
This is what they are:
Citicoline Cognizin (CPD Choline)
A substance that occurs naturally in the body, which aids brain function by increasing levels of phosphatidylcholine in the brain.
It’s used as a treatment of Alzheimer’s, Parkinson’s disease and stroke, moreover it has shown to improve memory in elderly people.
Bacopa Monnieri – Synsapsa
A patented extract of Bacopa, an antioxidant and Ayuervedic herb used to reduce anxiety and improve cognition and memory function.
A vital neurotransmitter, which increases the ability to focus and to pay attention.
A substance derived from the Periwinkle plant, which enhances memory function by increasing blood flow to the brain.
An extract from Gingko seed, which improves cognitive ability by expanding blood vessels to increase circulation to the brain.
An essential vitamin that plays a role in maintaining nerve health and preventing brain atrophy.
Produces an important co-enzyme in the body and improves brain cell communication by aiding in the production of neurotransmitters.
A fatty acid found in fish which works together with phosphatidylserine to aid memory function.
A substance created by the body that is vital to cognitive function.
An amino acid that boosts focus by increasing the production of dopamine.
It improves alertness, memory and general mental performance, and is used in the treatment of ADHD, depression and narcolepsy.
Another amino acid, which is used in treatment for anxiety for its ability to promote relaxation and reduce stress.
It also improves cognition when combined with caffeine.
Pantothenic Acid (Vitamin B5)
An essential vitamin that’s commonly found in food, moreover, it has numerous benefits, however it primary use in this formulas is to compliment acetylcholine.
Folic Acid (Vitamin B9)
Another essential vitamin.
You may be familiar with this one, as it’s so commonly used by pregnant women.
What you may not know is that it’s also used for treatment of memory loss and Parkinson’s Disease.
On Brain Pill’s ingredients page, it states that the information given will make us feel ‘tremendously encouraged’ about the future of our mind and memory.
In terms of ingredients used, it sounds great, but unfortunately, without a formula with exact amounts, we were considerably underwhelmed.
It’s bound to be on the bottle, but we need to be able to see that before we buy it.
Who Makes Brain Pill?
Brain Pill was created by Leading Edge Health, a Canadian company with customer service based in the USA.
They’ve been registered since 2001 and also make other products targeted towards older customers, including an anti-ageing supplement called GenF20Plus and the Skinception skincare range.
They seem to be aware of how customers may not be so trusting of their site, because they state ‘we are a REAL company..with staff and a phone number you can call (right now) if you like’.
Trying too hard? That’s what it sounds like to us.
Brain Pill’s website states that their manufacturing process are ‘GMP compliant’, but it’s unclear whether or not they’re actually certified as the GMP logo is nowhere to be found.
However, their ingredients are FDA-approved.
Users are advised that they may see results in 30-90 days, but that does seem like a rather long time to wait, and we’d be surprised if anyone stuck with it for that long without feeling any benefits.
How to Buy Brain Pill
Brain Pill costs $79.99 for a 1-month supply, which is much pricier than some of its competitors.
If you want to buy, make sure to save by purchasing a bulk pack.
They have express shipping which will have your order at your door in 2-3 days if you’re in the US, or 7-10 days if you choose regular delivery.
If you’re not satisfied, they offer a 67-day money-back guarantee (60 days plus shipping time).
Verdict – Is Brain Pill Any Good?
Aside from the official website, there is very little other information out there, although we did find one other review.
From our own assessment, we can conclude that while Brain Pill appears to contain some good-quality, natural ingredients, it just doesn’t provide enough information for us to be convinced at that price.
